Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has reacted to a statement by the Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi that God will give Nigeria a president “who has a good heart like President Muhammadu Buhari” in 2023.
Umahi, had said this in a chat with journalists, after a meeting with the president Buhari, few days ago.
But, Wike in a statement on Wednesday, slammed his Ebonyi counterpart for the statement, claiming that even Buhari himself knows that God will not give the country another president like him in 2023.
He described the statement as unfortunate and wondered why Umahi could say such a thing.
“…That was how a governor was saying that he prays that Nigeria gets another President like Buhari,” he said.
“I said what has gone wrong with him? You mean there shouldn’t be (a) psychiatric check on the governor? Sycophancy. And you know that the President knows that you are telling lies to him. He (Buhari) knows,” Woke added.
