Members of the Social Democratic Party in Rivers State who were arrested during the just concluded elections have been released.
The leadership of the party in Port Harcourt City local government area disclosed this in a statement Today.
It commended governorship candidate of the party, Sen. Magnus Abe and leader of the party in PHALGA, Worgu Boms for their efforts in ensuring the release of the arrested members.
The statement reads,
To the glory of God, our members who have been in detention since March 18th have all been released.“
We thank His Excellency, Senator M. N. Abe, the team of lawyers, led by our leader Hon. Barr. Worgu Boms for all the efforts.
Let me also appreciate the patience of their family members during this period of great trials. Let me also thank party members who stayed in touch with these families, God bless you all in Jesus name.
