A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, Tony Okocha has insisted that former governor of the state, Chibuike Amaechi and Tonye Cole voted for presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar in the just concluded presidential election.

Cole, in a statement in Port Harcourt Today, maintained that he is the new leader of the party in the state.

He said Amaechi and Cole never wanted Tinubu to emerge victorious as they never campaigned for him and even urged their supporters not to vote for the President-Elect.

He commended Wike for working for the victory of Tinubu, adding that the governor before the February 25th elections urged Rivers people to vote for the candidate that has the interest of the state at heart.

Okocha, revealed that majority of those that voted for Tinubu in the state were candidates of the People’s Democratic Party.

He maintained that they will support Gov. Wike’s candidate in next saturday’s governorship election.
