The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities and Non-Academic Staff Union of universities says its nationwide strike begins today, February 5, 2021.
President of SSANU, Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim and General Secretary of NASU, Mr Peters Adeyemi, made this known in a joint statement Thursday , in Abuja.
They said the action is to compel the Federal Government to address their demands.
Their demands include, rectifying inconsistencies in the Integrated Payroll Personnel Information System (IPPIS), and payment of arrears of Minimum Wage, among others.
