A total of 138 members of the National Youth Service Corps have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This is according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Director-General of the Centre, Chikwe Ihekweazu made this known during the daily briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID19, in Abuja yesterday Monday November 23 2020.
The DG stated that a total of 34,785 corp members and members of camp communities were tested of which only 138 members tested positive.
He noted that some of the infected persons were managed at home, while the others were managed at treatment centers. None of the infected oersons were allowed into NYSC camps.
