The Rivers State Government has directed the Civil Service Commission to initiate the employment of 10,000 civil servants into the State Civil Service.
Governor, Wike who was represented by Secretary to the state government, Tammy Danagogo disclosed this during a gathering to mark this year’s Workers Day in Port Harcourt, Today.
He also said the state government has initaited the payment of death benefits and gratuities with a monthly disbursement of one billion naira
He assured of the government’s resolve to clear all outsanding allowances, adding that the administration is committed to the welfare of workers.
